**The Position**:
We are looking for an experienced, well-connected and independent individual to join our transit sales team. Reporting to the VP of Sales - Transit, the position of Regional Sales Manager, North America will be located close to its customer base. In the role you will recognize and cultivate potential sales leads, travel to meet with prospective clients, and build lasting beneficial relationships. You will use your strong interpersonal skills to provide service and support to your customers as needed.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
Specific duties could include:

- Building and maintaining a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
- Making outbound calls to develop leads and generate business.
- Traveling within North America to meet with potential customers and develop business opportunities.
- Proven success as a hunter with a consistent record of exceeding sales targets
- Communicating with current and potential customers to identify and understand their product and service needs and to provide solutions to meet those needs.
- Collaborating and coordinating with internal departments.
- Demonstrating the functions and utility of our product solutions to customers.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolving any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Maintaining communication with existing and previous customers, informing them of new product solutions, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Participating in trade shows, training, or associated product meetings when necessary.
- Maintaining detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship issues.
- Ensuring all client communication is logged in Gatekeeper’s CRM system.
- Preparing and analyzing data to build a sales pipeline.
- Monitoring market conditions in relation to competitors.
- Providing periodic territory sales forecasts.
- Other duties as required.

**Education and Qualifications / Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing or business.
- Minimum 5 years of related sales experience in the video, technology, electronics, datacom, or cellular sectors.

**Other Must Haves Include**:

- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and standard Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, Outlook etc.

**Non-technical Competencies**:
You have a proven track record in sales and a strong reputation for effective negotiations. Ideally you will have excellent sales, team player, interpersonal, customer service, verbal and written communication skills. You should be a self-starter who is well organized, detail oriented and able to work with mínimal supervision. Key to success in this role will be the ability to hit the ground running and effectively utilize established contacts in the appropriate sector.
