Brampton, Canada Can Art Aluminum Extrusion Full time

_Can Art is a commercial leader in the Aluminum Extrusion field, with 3 plants in Ontario, come and join a true industry leader in this exciting manufacturing field._
- We need Saw Machine Operators to start immediately at our Brampton Plant, near Steeles and Finch across the road from Wet N Wild Toronto._

**Schedule**: 12 hour shifts, rotational (2 weeks in days, and 2 weeks in night) and continental (2 days on, 2 days off, every other weekend)

**Duties**:

- Set up and operate saw machines to produce high-quality products
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed
- Ability to manage saw controls
- Understanding of quality requirements and relationship between cutting speed and quality of cuts
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
- Ability to read work orders and take necessary steps to stack products
- Knowledge of different alloys and tempers; separates product in racks accordingly
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform routine maintenance on the press machine to keep it in optimal condition

**Skills**:

- Experience operating saw machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of EPICS an _asset_
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Good problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with the machine
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets
