Billing and Revenue Specialist

We are looking for a Billing and Revenue Specialist to join our growing dynamic Finance Team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills in corporate accounting by actively participating in monthly, quarterly, and year-end activities in addition to being responsible for a variety of other financial accounting and reporting activities.

**Your core responsibilities include**:
- Oversee the order to cash process, ensuring diligent and timely reporting of the revenue cycle.
- Analyze and propose process improvements to enhance the order to cash workflow.
- Review contracts and set up orders in accounting systems to recognize revenue in accordance with IFRS framework.
- Prepare and submit invoices to customers accurately and in timely manner, facilitating month-end revenue closure by Business Day 1.
- Communicate with customers to ensure adherence to payment terms outlined in contracts.
- Manage sales tax compliance and prepare sales tax returns across various jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with other departments on billing, revenue, and SKU creation inquiries.
- Management of customer portals and request information from customers.
- Provide support for various audit requirements.
- Update weekly cash management forecast.
- Contact customers to follow up on payments as necessary.
- Prepare financial statements note disclosures related to revenue and accounts receivable.
- Assist the Finance Team with day-to-day and ad-hoc tasks as needed.
**Preferred Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Accounting, Finance or, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Pursuing or holding CPA designation is preferred.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
- Experience using Netsuite, Salesforce or another ERP.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated success in identifying areas for business improvement.
- Strong proficiency in Excel for reporting purposes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-based environment.
- Positive, proactive and flexible attitude with strong attention to detail.
- Interest in upskilling and developing new ways to improve reporting processes.
