Data Analyst, Pricing

**YOUR ROLE**

As a Data Analyst, Pricing, you will work on generating and pricing renewals for our separate lines of business - particularly our affiliate partners. Verification of information included in both pricing and reporting as well as ensuring a smooth handoff of renewal data to necessary departments for implementation. Additionally supporting the underwriting department with ad hoc reporting. This role is either a hybrid opportunity out of our **Surrey, BC office**, or can be **remote** within Canada.

- You grasp range of blocks, sponsoring associations and their unique requirements
- You understand full renewal process
- 60 days_
- You understand sources of data and any limitations
- You become comfortable with the renewal packages produced and how to assess their accuracy and appropriateness
- You are familiarized with the structure of MIRA
- 90 days_
- You master MIRA renewal process
- You respond to intermediate level reporting requests and bridge the gap between developers and underwriting for advanced requirements
- Next 90 days_
- You follow general approaches to adjusting renewals to meet block requirements
- You become adept at the nuances of block renewal pricing and able to isolate and resolve potential discrepancies
- Create advanced reporting tools for everyday underwriting use

**YOUR IMPACT**
- You review MIRA and affiliate block renewals for accuracy and appropriateness
- You adjust MIRA renewals as required to meet individual appropriateness and block targets
- You analyze aggregate renewal actions within a block to ensure targets are met
- You review renewal packages for accuracy
- You analyze experience and situation for specific groups to justify and explain the rate action
- You produce renewal summary and detailed reports as required internally, by partners and by insurers
- You adjust or check changes in parameters within MIRA to ensure that MIRA’s renewals reflect individual, block or insurer requirements
- You pioneer and take charge of process changes from start to finish as necessary
- You use and understand CRM in daily operations
- You take on Ad-hoc projects as required
- You complete Health and Dental pricing for separate blocks of business
- You create pricing tools and visualizations for executive team and affiliate advisor partners
- You maintain and assist with MIRA JIRA tickets created for operational purposes

**THIS IS YOU**
- Post secondary degree in Mathematics or Economics
- Advanced Excel skills
- Intermediate SQL

**YOUR COMPENSATION**

At the time of this posting, the estimated pay range for this position is $60,000-$65,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the base pay and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards, benefits, and potential bonuses that we proudly offer.
