We are recruiting passionate cooks to join our culinary team in the heart of Canada’s wine country in Niagara-on-the-Lake. **DETAILS** - We are hiring full & part-time staff - We offer flexible schedules, tip-outs & product incentives - We offer competitive wages - Take your baking skills as far as they can go - Transparency, management structure, employee support in a safe & structured work environment **RESPONSIBILITIES** - Strive for excellence in all areas of work - baking, decorating, organisation, presentation, etc. - Learn recipes, company practices and baking techniques - Work alongside other team members with a team mentality - Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area that exceeds food health & safety standards - Prepare garnishes, fillings & general production mise en place - Assist in closing & opening the kitchen properly each shift, following checklists for kitchen stations, working as part of the team and helping where needed **QUALIFICATIONS**: - Passion for excellence - Desire to learn and to be the "best" - A minimum of 1+ years of experience in commercial baking and/or pastry - Must be able to communicate clearly and make effective use of shift time - Be able to reach, bend, and frequently lift 20-60 lbs. - Be able to stand for majority of shift (mandatory breaks excluded) ** PLEASE NOTE: ONLY APPLICANTS WITH RELEVANT CULINARY EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THESE ROLES. ** ** PLEASE SUBMIT A RECENT/UPDATED RESUME + A SHORT SUMMARY ABOUT YOURSELF WITH YOUR APPLICATION. ** **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship **Salary**: $16.00-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week **Benefits**: - On-site parking Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Day shift - Every Weekend - Monday to Friday - Morning shift Supplemental pay types: - Tips Ability to commute/relocate: - Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1J0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - Baking: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person
