**Field Technician**
The Field Technician is responsible for the installation and repair of wireless Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) at residential and business locations and to address customer issues and concerns regarding pre/post installation
- *

Duties & Responsibilities*
- Reporting to the Wireless Manager or his/her designate.
- Installing wireless equipment and assisting with construction of wireless towers.
- Conducting surveys at the prospective installation site to check line of site between base, repeater stations and the client’s preferred spot on property.
- Visually inspecting the installation sites to identify obstructions (trees, buildings, etc.) that could distort or block microwave signals.
- Measuring distances from landmarks to identify exact site location.
- Discussing site location and construction requirements with customer.
- Ensuring all tools and CPE components are available prior to visiting the home of clients.
- Advising and instructing clients in operating association equipment in wireless broadband installation.
- Troubleshooting connections when specified signal strengths cannot be achieved.
- Updating clients on the progress of troubleshooting.
- Observing regular work schedules to achieve optimum work productivity.
- Replacing defective CPE’s if identified as cause of problem.

Desired Skills & Experience*
- High School Diploma
- Good knowledge in computer troubleshooting with excellent computer skills including Outlook
- Working knowledge of networking, network wiring and CAT5/6 wiring
- Ability to work unsupervised at heights and rooftops with significant climbing involved
- Fall arrest certification
- Clean drivers abstract
- Able to use interpersonal skills with diplomacy and tact to relate to a wide range of personalities aiding in building effective relationships
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Detail-oriented with demonstrated time management and organizational skills
- Flexibility to attend training courses to remain current with technology changes relevant to work
- Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree preferred
- Technical Knowledge and skill level to achieve duties at a high level of accomplishment
- Design tools such as Expression Blend
- Developing and consuming REST services
- Clean drivers abstract
- Other duties as assigned.
