**Job Description**:

This position reports to Manager, Supply chain and is based out of our Edmonton office.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Purchase goods, services and rentals in the most efficient and cost effective manner
- Issue and expedite all purchases to meet the established service level requirements
- Source products and services in the market place
- Act as a resource to internal stakeholders providing advice and guidance on CEDA’s purchasing policies, procedures and processes
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with suppliers as well as internal customers
- Work within negotiated national agreements where possible
- Participate in the non-conformance reporting (NCR) system and corrective & preventive action system. Identify the necessary actions to prevent occurrence or reoccurrence of nonconformities
- Participate in procurement initiatives to improve proficiency and productivity
- Process and maintain organized paperwork
- Other duties as assigned

**Role Specifications**:

- Supply Chain experience is great, but we’re willing to train you to do the above as long as you:

- Are customer focused
- Have no hesitation picking up the phone to ask questions
- Can use your transferrable skills to better understand various situations applicable to the key duties listed
- Are not computer shy
- A Business Management Diploma, along with Purchasing course work is preferable but not necessarily required
- Having a basic understanding of business processes, methodologies and information systems related to supply chain would be great - you would have this from your other jobs but maybe not direct experience working with supply chain

**Skills**:

- Communication; you can articulate a procedure or process in a digestible manner
- You enjoy solving complex problems by assembling the pieces and finding the best solution
- You know when to ask for help and are accountable for completing tasks within your capabilities
- You excel at building positive relationships while always prioritizing the company's interests
