The educational programme is supported through modern, purpose-built facilities and amenities.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, Southpointe is seeking an experienced **IT Helpdesk Support Specialist** who is knowledgeable and collaborative. This position will commence **as soon as possible**.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with various levels of school staff to raise awareness relating to network security and vulnerabilities;
- Provide support in first level troubleshooting within the telecom environment on digital systems;
- Remains current with changing technology, practices and equipment;
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Essential Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or GED;
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Office 365; Windows 10 and Mac OS in a domain environment;
- Good working knowledge of PC, Apple, and Chromebook hardware and peripherals;
- Good working knowledge of Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome operating systems;
- Good working knowledge of basic networking (Wired/WiFi LAN, file sharing, VLAN, DHCP, etc.) Certifications in basic networking are an asset;
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills;
- Ability to use judgment when providing information;
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the position;
- Knowledge of safe work practices.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience setting up presentation equipment for staff/student use, ensuring proper installation of operating systems and appropriate software;
- Audio-Visual support for live presentations and broadcasting, utilizing the most appropriate streaming platforms or have the willingness to learn these skills.
