**Who we need**
We are seeking a Materials Control Analyst to forecast, plan, procure (in conjunction with Purchasing), store, control and distribute materials for the production of items for new and existing customers.
**What you will do**:
- Maintain an inventory list. You will create, update, and maintain a list of materials for all items and align each part to a specific program or order. You will track repeatable items and monitor item performance to set optimal minimum and maximum levels and ensure adequate safety stock is available.
- Coordinate delivery. You will set and maintain delivery expectations by part. You will initiate delivery routes to move materials within plant, to sister facilities or to external sources.
- Communicate. You will review inventory levels daily, predict potential production or commercial impacts and proactively communicate concerns to stakeholders.
- Participate in sourcing. You will contribute to the purchasing and sourcing processes to ensure Item set-up parameters are established for new items and vendors.
- Track inventory. You will organize physical inventory, and cycle counts weekly, monthly, and annually in collaboration with the Warehouse. You will develop, control, and maintain an inventory management system and determine the root causes of discrepancies.
**You have**:
- The education and experience. You have experience in inventory and logistics management in Warehouses, Distribution Centers, and Manufacturing facilities, ideally with exposure to a Lean manufacturing high-mix-low-volume environment. You have proven Continuous Improvement expertise in materials management.
- The technical skills. You are highly proficient with MS Office Suite (especially Excel), and have familiarity with inventory, supply chain management and ERP systems.
- The solution-oriented approach. You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with complex variables in situations under pressure. You have strong analytical, planning, and time management skills.
- The interpersonal skills. You have professional communication skills and can build trusting relationships across all levels of stakeholders.
