Clinical Practice Lead

**About You**

You are an experienced, collaborative leader who loves people. You bring an upbeat attitude and sense of fun to work. Possessing strong interpersonal skills, you thrive on fostering and maintaining healthy productive relationships and are excited about working in a multi-disciplinary team to develop and deliver excellent clinical practice.

You understand the normal aging process, altered cognitive function and disease processes associated with aging. You are skilled in best practice required to provide quality resident care. You value learning, embrace innovative change, and promote health and wellness using a resident directed approach.

You navigate conflict well and bring seasoned critical thinking and problem-solving skills to this position. You are detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage your time, workload, and conflicting priorities effectively and efficiently.

Ideally you have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university specifically, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or degree in Health Administration. A Bachelor of Arts in Adult Education is an asset.

You have demonstrated competence backed up by at least two years’ practical experience delivering and developing adult education or clinical instruction programs in a nursing or allied health environment, ideally in long term care.

You lead our education initiatives for all team members within long term care and assisted living in Victoria where our vision is to provide exceptional care so seniors will experience life well in a supportive community. You enhance team member performance through education, coaching, mentoring and guidance. You cultivate an environment that supports and respects the autonomy, independence, dignity, and privacy of our residents and fosters a fun and respectful work environment for team members.

As an ambassador for Baptist Housing and our values, you develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, team members, partners, and stakeholders including regulatory authorities, associations, and agencies. Serving alongside Baptist Housing’s other clinical practice leads across our ministry, you will report to the Clinical Services Manager, based in Kelowna.

The Heights at Mt. View is a 7-storey, 260-suite residence located in Saanich, BC. As a complex care residence, The Heights at Mt. View offers 24/7 Long-Term Care in Victoria. With a design that exceeds operational requirements, this residence is inspired by the individuals who call the community home. This innovative project is part of a regional plan and partnership with the Province of British Columbia, the Vancouver Island Health Authority, the Capital Regional Hospital District and Baptist Housing to replace obsolete long-term care facilities in the Capital Region, and provide more care and housing options for the growing senior population.

This is a part-time (four days per week), permanent position located in Victoria. Total compensation includes competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, four weeks’ vacation, MPP, and support for professional development.

You would consent to a Criminal Record Check (CRC) for working with Vulnerable Adults and are able to provide a clear current tuberculosis test. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is also a condition of employment.
