Vancouver Concrete Cutting & Coring Inc. (VCC) is a specialty trade in the construction and demolition industries. VCC provides professional concrete cutting services to most major development companies, general contractors, infrastructure and other trades in the Lower Mainland. In addition to concrete cutting services, VCC also provides Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) services as well as holds patents internationally for the ASO-Valve.

The successful applicant will have experience in the construction industry and a desire to learn a new trade. They must show initiative, reliability and ability to follow directions and anticipate work process needs & hazards. The position is designed to help the Field Coordinator grow professionally within the trade with ample opportunities for accelerated advancement.
A typical day will include arriving at the shop in Richmond, packing up the truck and making sure all equipment is present and in good working order and organized for the day. On the work site the main job will be ensuring the safety of the crew and others, supporting the Concrete Cutter’s operations, identifying and abating job hazards. They will also communicate with site management and safety personnel to ensure efficient and safe cutting environment. When the work for the day is done the crew will return to the shop, unpack and wash equipment and finalize all paper work.
**Skills/Qualifications**
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Service oriented, with a dependable and professional work ethic.
- Able to work well as part of a team and independently.
- Positive attitude and approach to work.
- Construction experience is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to commute to Richmond BC is a MUST.
- Must have flexible hours on short notice if required.
Expected start date: immediately

Compensation: Salary is paid on an hourly basis and depends on relevant experience. $20-$24 per hour. Extended Health and Dental program (after 3-month probationary period). Opportunity to advance to different positions within the company and industry.
