**ompany Overview**
- Mi9 Retail software company is fully focused on the retail business vertical. We develop software to address challenging requirements faced by medium to large retail enterprises such as merchandise management, master data, inventory management, sales audit, purchasing and invoicing, retail analytics, and point of sale.

**Position Overview**

Mi9 Retail is seeking an experienced merchandise/inventory management Product Owner (PO) to work with our core product development team as well as our customers. This position can be based anywhere in Ontario. It is a work-from-home arrangement. The compensation will match your level of education and experience.

**What you will be doing**:

- Understand client requirements in the area of merchandise management.
- Write User Stories for our software development team.
- Empathetically communicate with internal and external stakeholders demonstrating a sense of urgency.
- Actively engage and collaborate with clients, software engineers, quality engineers, other POs and PMs, and the support and professional services teams.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and propose solutions.
- Report to the Product Manager.
- Actively participate in our agile SCRUM software development process.

**The impact you will have**:

- You will enable the product development team to focus on well-defined priorities thus optimizing overall value delivery to our clients.

**What you bring to the table**:

- Product knowledge of merchandise management solutions for mid-market retailers.
- Scrum/Agile methodology skills are required, CSPO certification is not a must but is appreciated.
- Must know software development processes and should be able to manage multiple projects on different tracks.
- Must have excellent management, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage communication apprising development status and issues to clients, team members, management, and other stakeholders.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
- At least 2 years experience in a PO or a BA (business analyst) role.
- JIRA/Confluence knowledge is a plus.
- Previous business experience in retail such as a buyer or similar is a big plus.
