**Position**: Bar Manager

**About Us**:Imagine yourself here Located in the heart of downtown Winnipeg, the RBC Convention Centre stands as the premier event facility. **Primary Functions and Responsibilities**:

- Manages all aspects of beverage service; ensuring proper room preparation according to event order, including stocking of bars; liquor, glassware, soft drinks, etc.
- Hires, trains and manages staff in all technical aspects of their role as well as all safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, Event Coordinators, and management. Ensure smooth transitions between shifts collaborating with Banquet Managers and Assistant Banquet Managers.
- Creates weekly schedules for bartending team.
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with the Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba (LGCA) guidelines.
- Builds and maintains an effective team incorporating the Centres’ guest service standards.
- Maintain consistency of service ensuring guest satisfaction by handling inquiries, concerns and providing solutions.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, focusing on banquets, facilities management, and beverage operations.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate beverage services with an understanding of event logistics.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff management and training.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
- Knowledge of MS Suite, Outlook and Teams. Familiarity of event management software is an asset.
- Must have a valid Manitoba Smart Choices Certification.
- Requires open availability; ability to work evenings, mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
