**What would be your responsibilities?**

The _**Production Supervisor**_ is responsible for daily production and shaving requirements in order to meet the treating schedule.

**Responsibilities**

**Production & Procurement**
- Communicate with the Plant Manager for all shipping/ receiving requirements (issues with quality of wood received)
- Schedules all labor for the treating department, sets schedules, processes all tags/paperwork from each charge and enters into BlueBee
- Manages yard stock transfers
- Manage kiln schedule for drying poles
- Coordinates pole treating schedule
- Plans pole framers schedule
- Works with outside sales on orders
- Coordinates off-sales
- Participates in cycle and annual inventory counts
- Schedules third-party inspection requirements
- Order white poles as required
- Assists with the Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Biannual TRD tasks

**Maintenance**
- Identifies & troubleshoots with Maintenance any issues/defects that occur during the shift
- Schedules all large Building improvements from Plant Manager with maintenance and production staff

**Health & Safety**
- Enforces all safety protocols and enforces all safety requirements
- Participates in the JHSC inspection
- Assists with the writing of JHA's & SOP's
- Assists with the Health & Safety work order log and listing. Completes all signage and labelling changes
- Assists with new hire training (H&S)

**Payroll & Human Resources**
- Ensures employee hours are entered correctly in payroll system (ADP/Ceridian)
- Manages and directs employees
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Approve vacation forms and look after employee relations
- Assists the Plant Manager with major disciplinary issues
- Other duties as assigned
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Proficiency in English, spoken and written
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving, prioritization and conflict resolution skills
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of utility pole and customer standards an asset
- Time and stress management
- Ability to work independently and be flexible regarding work assignments
- Intermediate Computer skills (Microsoft Office, BlueBee and/or SAP system) and asset
- Knowledge of health and safety standards (ON)
- Basic Math Skills
