Benmet Steel & Metal is a **leader in the Canadian scrap and recycling industry** located in the heart of Guelph, ON with our second location in Stratford, ON and our third location in Owen Sound, ON. We are one of the most established and reputable independent scrap metal processors in Ontario. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our growing team.

We are looking for a **Production Supervisor** to oversees our company’s Non-Ferrous production operations.

Your major responsibilities are ensuring that materials and supplies are in a positive flow and ensure that machines are functional and the production facilities adhere to safety standards. Planning of daily operational tasks to manage maximum efficiency.

Given the nature of today’s business environment, the **Production Supervisor** will be managing a talented and diverse team. One of your most important goals is to properly organize and direct the production staff to achieve a satisfactory workflow. You must also identify areas for improvement and organize training opportunities for their team.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Safety
- Planning and staffing
- Quality & Efficiency

- Counseling employees
- Production planning, executing and reporting

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Ability to show initiative and support where needed, team player.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Flexible, adaptable, with strong multitasking
- Quality of production input
- Coaching customers in efficiency and excellent customer service skills
- Business forecasting - with an inbound focus
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred or similar supervisory experience
