**SUMMARY**

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager oversees a small team and manages the full accounting cycle across multiple business units. The role ensures regulatory compliance, accurate reporting, reconciliations, and inventory accounting, while supporting both retail and commercial operations.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Accounting**
- Supervise and manage performance of the Accounting and Data Entry Clerk, ensuring daily tasks are completed on time with accuracy
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial financial regulations
- Manage cash flows through daily bank reconciliations and bill payments
- Review AP and Journal Entries, approve EFTs and send to the bank
- Review and process weekly credit card charges
- Prepare weekly reports which includes sales, customer count, labour hours and labour cost
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies
- Manage period-end reporting, including working papers and generating financial statements
- Remit taxes and government filings (e.g., GST, PST, EHT, tax installments)
- Manage monthly AR cycle for commercial properties
- Generate monthly invoices for tenants
- General accounting for the company’s properties
- Collaborate with other departments on financial matters
- Other duties as assigned by the Controller and General Manager

**Inventory Management**
- Produce period grosses for store’s physical inventory count, including verifying, updating the inventory count, and following up with any discrepancies
- Ensure inventory supplies for stores are stocked
- Calculate gross profit for non physical count periods

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- 3+ years experience with Financial Accounting
- 2+ years experience with supervising a team
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis in Excel
- Proficiency with accounting software, _Microsoft Dynamics GP or Dynamics 365 would be an asset _
- Proficiency with POS systems and inventory control, _LBOSS would be an asset_
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Please note, our administration office is not wheelchair accessible. _

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
