**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, the Environmental Services Supervisor is a key member of the facility’s management team, responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, staff and visitors. This role is responsible for supervising all aspects of environmental services by providing quality housekeeping and laundry services in the seven (7) Long Term Care Homes while ensuring compliance with Ministry, legislative, and corporate expectations.

**Education**:

- Degree or Diploma in environmental health, public health, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- Certification and member of CHHA member (Canadian Healthcare Housekeepers’ Association) or OHHA (Ontario Healthcare Housekeepers Association).
- Completion of technical courses related to institutional, housekeeping, and linen management is preferred.

**Knowledge**:

- At least 3 years of current related experience in a Long-Term Care Home
- At least 3 years of current related experience in environmental services management, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental services in healthcare facilities
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate staff.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of electronic documentation software
- Knowledge of the Ministry of Health and Fixing Long Term Care Act; Occupational Health and Safety Act; and the Accreditation Process

**Special Requirements**:

- In accordance with the Corporate Criminal Record Check Policy, the position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Records Check and submit a Canadian Police Clearance Certificate for the vulnerable sector.
- This position requires the incumbent to undergo and pass a Tuberculosis screen as required by the corporation.
- This position must maintain the ability to travel in a timely manner to other offices, work locations, or sites as authorized by the Corporation for business reasons.

**Responsibilities**:
**_ Ensures effective environmental building management, quality processes, policies and practices are in place, implemented and adhered to. Implements policies and procedures relevant to Environmental Services, as well as policies relating to Infection Control and Safety (25% of time)_**:

- Establishes and maintains all housekeeping and laundry activities and infection control measures that are consistent across all homes, gathering data, outlining instructions for everyday
