Aviva is pleased to announce that we are currently recruiting for students for our summer internship Program for the period of May 2025 until August 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for post-secondary students to gain exposure to the insurance industry. Our program offers a variety of experiences across our insurance business unit. Aviva realizes the importance of crafting internships as a means to develop talent to meet future requirements for entry-level insurance roles.
Aviva Canada has adopted a hybrid return-to-office model. This role will require you to work in the Markham or Oakville office.
The Anti-Fraud/Verify Claims team is looking for a passionate, driven student to join the team as an Investigation Intern for Summer 2025.
What you’ll do- Support investigation admin work and building documentation/ content for training/ best practices etc.- Support ongoing re-VIN project by assisting with screening a large volume of VINs utilizing various tools, referral research and related tasks as required in a high volume fast paced environment.- Clerical and administrative duties, filing, data-entry, general office support, etc.- Responsible for assisting full time staff with short term projects to meet business requirements- Other duties as assigned by manager

What you need to succeed:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or college diploma- Strong organization, data management and analytical skills- Advanced proficiency with Excel and related database functionality- Experience in developing summary reports involving large data sets- Ability to interpret evidence and establish patterns and links via data analysis- Familiarity with ClaimCenter, AIM, QLIK, Verify DocVault and ISB would be beneficial- Demonstrates a desire to go above and beyond and hunger to learn and grow- Ability to adjust with mínimal supervision where priorities may shift due to changing business needs- Strong verbal and written communicator with high caliber, professional business demeanor- Have a minimum 2.75 GPA or B average
