**About the Role**:
Guffo Cafe is your cozy neighborhood café, known for handcrafted coffee, fresh-baked pastries, and a warm, welcoming vibe. We’re currently hiring a **part-time, seasonal Barista/Baker** to join our team during **weekends and holidays**.

Bakers may have the opportunity to move into a permanent position based on performance and availability.

**What You'll Do**:

- Craft delicious coffee and tea beverages with care and consistency.
- Bake breads, pastries, and desserts using our standard recipes.
- Prepare in-house sandwiches and food items as needed.
- Greet every guest with a **genuine smile**, bring **positive energy**, and go **above and beyond** to create **true, joyful connections**.
- Provide warm, engaging service—even during busy times.
- Keep the café, baking area, and washrooms clean and organized.
- Operate the POS system and handle transactions accurately.
- Support your teammates to help things run smoothly.

**Who You Are**:

- **Minimum 1 year of experience** as a barista, baker, or in a fast-paced customer-facing role.
- Baking experience (especially with breads and pastries) is required for baking roles.
- You **genuinely enjoy interacting with people** and take pride in offering a welcoming, uplifting experience.
- You’re upbeat, **smiley**, and bring a sense of **joy** to your work.
- You go the extra mile to make someone’s day better.
- Able to multitask while staying detail-focused and calm under pressure.
- Passionate about coffee, food, and good vibes.
- Comfortable working independently and with a team.
- Must be available weekends and holidays.
- **Food Safe certification** required within 7 days of hiring.
