**Position Summary**
The Territory Manager is responsible for providing both internal and external service to current customers as well as the creation and facilitation of new business. The Territory Manager will reach their business targets through effective management of designated territories and physical visits to customer sites. This individual will develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role.
**IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?** Responsibilities**:
The responsibilities and accountabilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the steel industry, targeting key industries such as construction, manufacturing, and fabrication.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and offering tailored steel solutions to meet those requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with steel products, industry trends, and market conditions to effectively communicate the benefits of our offerings to customers.
- Provide detailed product information, pricing, and delivery schedules to clients; create quotes, proposals, and contracts for prospective customers.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding steel products, pricing, availability, and technical specifications; resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Use CRM tools and other sales tracking systems to maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities.
- Work closely with the internal production, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and timely delivery of products.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to achieve win-win outcomes, ensuring both customer satisfaction and company profitability.
- Adhere to all safety and compliance standards in line with industry regulations, ensuring safe handling and delivery of steel products.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field is an asset.
- Proven track record in outside sales, preferably in the steel service industry or related industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of steel products, markets, and industry dynamics.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive sales growth.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide solutions to client challenges.
- Valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs; Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
