**Responsibilities**
- **Accounts Payable (AP)**: Enter and process invoices, verify transaction information, prepare payments, and maintain vendor records.
- **Accounts Receivable (AR)**: Generate invoices, track payments, follow up on outstanding receivables, and maintain customer records.
- **General Bookkeeping**: Record financial transactions, maintain accurate ledgers, and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- **Credit Card Reconciliations**: Reconcile credit card statements, verify expense forms and invoices, and ensure proper documentation and approval.
- **Data Entry**: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software.
- **Administrative Support**: Provide general administrative support to the Finance Department as needed.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with TFN policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and standards.

**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- **Skills**: Familiarity with fundamental bookkeeping practices, Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks), MS Office (excel), strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, and effective communication abilities.
- **Attributes**: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, problem solving approach, high level of integrity and professionalism, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with Tsawwassen First Nation members and external stakeholders.

**Wages**:Pay scale for this position is $30.77 to $34.87 per hour with excellent benefits including enrolment in the BC Municipal Pension Plan. Placement within the pay scale is based on a review of skills, experience & internal equity.
