**Missions and Responsibilities** Position Title **:Driver Training Supervisor/Master Driver / Supervisor Distribution

**Position Summary**:The main object and purpose of this position consists in supervising and training drivers with respect to operating procedures and safety. The incumbent is responsible for keeping all of the information concerning the drivers' qualifications up to date while promoting ALC safety and quality objectives.
- **Supervises the Distribution Center drivers**:Directly supervises the daily activities of the drivers. Applies the necessary disciplinary measures. Assesses each individual's training needs and coordinates the implementation of training plans for this group.
- **Ensures the development and training of the team**: Establishes a training plan for the drivers. Keeps the drivers' training files (quality system, technical training, driver's permit, SAAQ file, etc.), along with the drivers' qualifications charts for audit purposes up to date. Plans and gives the training described in the local quality instructions to new drivers and re-certifies currently employed drivers. Gives cryogenic training both in the classroom and on the road. Trains all of the new drivers with respect to the safety policies, operating procedures, dangerous materials, and quality standards.
- **Oversees maintenance and quality**: Completes the non-compliance and customer claim forms. Conducts quality audits with customers. Prepares, tracks and compiles the results of quality concerns for the customer facilities and ensures a follow-up and corrective actions.
- **Ensures and promotes safety**:Develops and implements the safety action plan. Facilitates and conducts safety meetings for the drivers and prepares complete reports on these meetings. Reviews traffic accidents with the accident committee. Sends the reports to the head office and gives the drivers feedback during health and safety meetings. Serves as a coordinator during an emergency situation.
- **Responsible for purchasing and maintenance of safety equipment. **Takes part in various training sessions concerning emergency interventions and intervenes when required.
- **Process Improvement**: Works in cooperation with his/her team and multifunctional teams to continuously improve the work process. Analyzes his/her activities, identifies and proposes adapted corrective measures.

**Competencies and Profile**
- **Diploma**: College diploma in road transportation management would be an asset.
- **Training**: Quality system, transportation of dangerous materials, team facilitation
- **Knowledge**:Computerized systems, MS Office, road system, road laws and regulations
- **Experience**: 5 years of experience in a similar position
- **Class 1 License **is a MUST have.
