The Other Bird is a hospitality family that includes _The Mule & Rapscallion & Co._(Hamilton, ON), _Burro _(Burlington, ON), _Hunter & Co. _(London, ON), and _The Mule Port Dover _(Port Dover, ON).
- **What's the Job??**_
The Front-of-House (FOH) Manager works under the direction of The General Manager to ensure the daily success of Hunter & Co's front-of-house teams. The Front-of-House Manager is responsible for ensuring the FOH is always welcoming, competently staffed, and is providing exceptional service to the hungry & thirsty masses of London.
- **Key Responsibilities**_
- Ensure guests are given prompt, attentive and unobtrusive service at all times.
- Ensure proper front-of-house supervision at all times, and handle any and all complaints or issues that arise in a professional, helpful and friendly manner.
- Participate in the hiring of all FOH staff including bartenders, servers and support staff.
- Work with all FOH staff members to be constantly developing and improving, and assist with training and orientation of new team members.
- Assist with FOH scheduling, and monitor day-to-day FOH staffing levels, and effectively adjust labour accordingly.
- Ensure that policies and procedures are followed at all times, including health & safety and steps of service.
- Liaise with the General Manager and BOH Management to ensure effective cooperation and communication at all times.
- Take a proactive role in encouraging teamwork, cooperation, productivity and a positive attitude within the working environment.
- Be able to access and understand all functions of Silverware, 7Shifts, MarketMan & Google Workspace.
- Completing the daily Rec and Tip Pool during shift.
- Work as part of the FOH team in any position, including bartender, server or host, as needed.
- Assist with facilitating meetings such as regular staff meetings, disciplinary action meetings, annual and probationary reviews.
- Attend meetings, including Other Bird Manager meetings, Hunter & Co. Manager meetings, and front-line staff meetings.
- Be familiar with the management staff of all Other Bird outlets; collaborate on staffing, events and overall communication.
- Other tasks as assigned by the General Manager.
- **Qualifications**_
**Education & Experience Requirements**:
- 3+ years Front-of-House restaurant experience with consistent experience in both bartending and serving is required.
- Front-of-House restaurant management experience is an asset.
- SmartServe certification is required.
**Skills & Abilities**:
- Having strong organizational skills and attention to detail is paramount.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to delegate tasks effectively, and work in a fast paced environment with multiple interruptions.
- Must be able to work and lead effectively in a team environment.
- Most demonstrate honesty and integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage conflict calmly and effectively.
- Ability to manage conflict in a calm and effective manner.
- Ability to travel with a G-Class Driver's License
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
