**Inside Sales Representative**

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales and fulfilling all contractual obligations through the efficient management of their inventory to support accounts and customer relations. The selected individual will work under the guidance of an Outside Sales Representative and in tandem with other teams to achieve departmental sales goals and strategic plans to provide leading customer service. Success in achieving these goals, developing knowledge in the industry, and perfecting industry best practices can lead to many further sales opportunities.
**Operational Duties and Key Results**
The following is a list of the operational duties/key results expectations for the job. Gatsteel may modify job duties from time to time at its discretion.
**Sales**
- Meet or exceed the service levels required by your clients.
- Ensure prompt response to customer needs or issues.
- Maintain regular communication with your clients in order to anticipate the client’s needs and provide solutions.
- Proper daily inventory management practices in order to meet the company’s inventory goals. (MRP review, aged inventory, obsolete inventory, finished goods, FIFO etc.).
- Ensure proper management of your accounts deliveries, in stock and on order positions and finished goods on the floor.
- Data entry including but not limited to; sales order, work order, shipping order, release download etc.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with all departments within Gatsteel.
- Detail oriented ensuring accuracy on all transactions.
- Inventory Management.
- Work with Purchasing, your Account Manager(s), and Management to maximize inventory turns and eliminate aged inventory over 12 months old.
- Proactively deal with any obsolete or problem inventory.
- Minimize scrap on all setups to maximize profitability.
**Education and Industry Knowledge**
- College Diploma / University Degree
- Business/sales related education and/or experience is preferred.
**Technical & Business Skills**
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Dedicated commitment to providing superior, timely, internal and external customer service.
- High initiative and driven for success.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills in a team environment.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Team cooperation and respect is required.
- Forward thinker, creative, innovative and entrepreneurial.
**Work Environment**
- Requires sitting at a desk working on a computer in an office atmosphere.
