Mathnasium of Kitchener is looking to hire a part-time math instructor/tutor. Our goal is to teach students math in a way that makes sense to them and to help make learning math a fun experience. We use the Mathnasium Method® to help students improve their mental math techniques, as well as promote understanding of the material, rather than rote memorization.

Job Responsibilities:

- sign-in students and assign work for their session
- teach students one-on-one, and mark their worksheets/check homework
- help in the updating of material in student binders
- work with other instructors to rotate between students as they need help
- work with other instructors to ensure students are staying on task and are understanding their material
- Be able to talk with parents if they inquire about their session progress

**Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled in or completed post-secondary education in a math-related field
- Need to be able to teach math for Grades 2-12
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is an asset.
- Ability to work afternoon/evenings Monday to Thursday between 3pm and 8pm, and some Saturdays between 10am-2pm.
- Must complete Mathnasium's Training Path as well as Mathnasium Employee Written Math Test

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

- Evening shift
