Moonfire Cannabis Customer Service Representative/budtender

Moonfire Cannabis is a locally owned and operated cannabis retail store. We are a bunch of water loving friends from Oliphant and Red Bay.

**About The Role**:
Moonfire budtenders are an amazing mix of product specialists, customer service superstars and brand ambassadors. Our budtenders are creative and service driven individuals, who have a passion for cannabis culture and provide a unique shopping experience for any type of customer. As the first point of contact for our guests, our budtenders will set the tone in delivering a world class guest experience through engagement, industry expertise and authentic relationship building by efficiently directing customers to their desired product, experience and price point. We have a low pressure, non-commission sales environment focused on helping our customers find **their**fire.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers throughout the day in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Check government issued identification of customers upon entry to the store
- Effectively utilize a cannabis compliant POS system and cash register, as well as our website menu
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and educate them on responsible cannabis use
- Maintain a positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking attitude
- Provide accurate and knowledgeable product information based on formal and informal ongoing learning
- Follow Moonfire processes, procedures, policies ensuring a safe and secure work environment
- Complete non-sales related tasks such as receiving, auditing, displaying, cleaning and labeling, and other tasks to support day-to-day operations
- Follow manager’s directives for duties and tasks in professional and timely manner
- Ability to swap between tasks at any time to ensure continued smooth operation of the store and high level of service required to delight customers
- Create an engaging, welcoming environment within the store and cultivate meaningful relationships through trust and rapport with our guests to drive return business and foster the Moonfire community
- Continually promote our brand and be a positive representative of the cannabis industry
- Support the upkeep and cleanliness of our space in a way that propels our brand and reflects our standards

**Qualifications and Requirements of a Budtender**:

- Able to lift and carry 20 lbs
- Able to use a step ladder
- Able to use a tablet and/or computer quickly and efficiently
- 1 year minimum of retail experience
- Sound knowledge of Cannabis plants and different strains of Cannabis
- Obtain Cannabis Retail Certificate (Cannsell)
- Successfully provide a criminal background check
- Knowledge of standards of Cannabis Retail stores set by AGCO
- Knowledge of Provincial and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to retail Cannabis
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- Able to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
