**Job Summary** Sapphire Sound is a young team of professionals in the pro audio visual design and integration field. We're bringing life and agility back to an industry that had become cookie cutter and inflexible. Our unique design approach to meet customers needs and budgets has our team very busy and we're looking to add another member We are looking for a qualified individual to lead one of our isntallation teams in Vancouver. You will be leading and working with a team of installers at jobs mainly in the fraser valley, but with some short term out of town travel. Our unique range of jobs includes installations in performing arts venues (sound, video, lighting), churches, restaurants and hospitality, corporate boardrooms and even some high-end residential. **Responsibilities and Duties** Day To Day: Based on your experience and skills on a typical day you might: - Pick up parts at our shop in Abbotsford or meet the team on a job site - Commute from our shop to a job site - different sites around the city (km's paid after leaving home base bubble, or when carrying parts) - Lead a partner or team to install wiring in new construction or retro fit jobs and mount speakers, lights, cameras, tv's, configure equipment racks in accordance with system design drawings and diagrams - Work with the operations manager to communicate scheduling, and labour hours for team - Communicate with clients and sales team on site progress - Ensure installation timelines are met within project budgets - Use quick on-site problem solving to resolve issues that come up during installation Note that because our installations take place all over the fraser valley, start and end times can vary based on job site access as well as location. **Qualifications and Skills** People Skill Requirements: - A professional appearance and attitude with superior customer service skills and experience greeting and communicating with clients - A team player - being able to work with a team of driven individuals accomplishing a common goal - Being flexible - understanding that the customers needs come first and sometimes requires working a longer day (with paid overtime when approved) Job Skill Requirements: - Minimum of 4 years experience installing AV systems, or electrical work - We require a valid driver’s license and a vehicle that can hold a 6' ladder + tools and basic job supplies - iPhone or Android Smartphone - Solder XLR, 1/4" TS/TRS, 1/8" TS/TRS, RCA, DB9 termination experience - Compression RG6, RG59 termination experience - Crimp RJ45 UTP and STP termination experience - Rigging AV equpiment such as speakers, lighting, and AV infrastructure to building - Fibre LC MM/SM termination experience - Google Appls (Gmail, Google Calendar) - Use of hand and Power Tools - Proficiency with Basic networking and troubleshooting - Experience with Crestron Toolbox, Extron Global Configurator Plus/Pro - Experience with accessing and troubleshooting shooting audio DSP software such as Symetrix, QSC Qsys, Audio Architect **Salary**: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - Flexible schedule - Paid time off - RRSP match - Vision care Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday Application question(s): - Do you currently live in the Fraser Valley? **Experience**: - Cat5 Termination and Soldiering: 1 year (preferred) - Audio Visual: 4 years (required) **Language**: - English (required) Licence/Certification: - drivers license (required) Work Location: One location
