We are currently looking for Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team in Richmond, BC.
**PURPOSE OF POSITION**
Reporting Directly to the Senior Vice President Strategy & Corporate Development, the Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for telling compelling stories to communicate ideas in line with our brand image by building knowledge of the industry, the market, our customers, and our company products and services. The responsibilities will include providing market insight and market research using data, creating internal sales tools, promotional content for customers and marketing campaigns, updating and maintaining the corporate website, developing a communications and social media plan and creating content to improve brand recognition for customers and employees.
**TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**
**SAFETY**:
- Abides by all customer and Nortrak safety policies and procedures while on customer & Nortrak sites
- Ensures the marketing campaigns and promotional contents meet customer and Nortrak safety standards
**QUALITY**:
- Marketing
- Seeks data to understand the market
- Seek information about long-term market opportunities (3-15 years into the future)
- Works with the Sales Team to use the C4C Tool
- Enter market opportunities into C4C
- Obtain, review, and draw insights from industry trends, customer satisfaction insight, economic data, and other important data to communicate vaRSN’s opportunities, brand awareness or target audiences
- Identify and recommend different communication channels to promote the Company and its products
- Synthesizes data from different sources into information
- Updates existing data models & reports, identifies, defines, and creates new models or adjustments to models as the business environment changes
- Understands and manages the WebShop tool, reporting, and content
- Prepares and distributes monthly and weekly internal reports
- Summarizes insights and identifies market opportunities
- Maintains branded templates (letterhead, PowerPoint presentations, etc.) on Sharepoint and communicates template changes to the organization
- Communications
- Designs ads for magazines, online ads, and social media content
- Builds compelling internal and external presentations consistent with branding and vaRS market positioning
- Creates compelling communications and content for both internal and external stakeholders
- Understands and manages the Corporate Website and content
- Builds internal tools to support the sales team with product insight and information
- Works with the R&D and design teams to publish White Papers
- Social Media
- Creates a social media strategy to attract employees and communicate with customers and the industry
- Establishes post schedules, profile and promotional branding, and promotional activities that could enhance product sales and market understanding of our capabilities
- Oversees all social media accounts
- Responsible for creating a presence for the Company, posting schedules, and monitoring and responding to accounts
- Brings forward ideas and initiatives to continue to improve our communications, insights, and market presence
- Preparing Board & Customer facing presentations and communications
- Maintains curiosity to learn and grow
- Focused on how we can continue to add value to customer
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with understanding of tone and voice
- Remains on the forefront of social media technologies for business
- Presents possible solutions to problems and can weigh the pros and cons of suggested courses of action
