Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 35 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 13 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.
The Role: The Marketing Specialist is responsible for coordinating the internal & external communications with a focus on handling media relation, social media and advertising efforts. He/she is responsible to manage and optimize social media campaigns to enhance brand awareness and drive audience engagement. Working closely with the Manager and cross-functional teams, the Marketing Specialist in Media and Communication develops and implements effective social media initiatives aligned with the company’s marketing objectives.
- Major Responsibilities: Develop and execute media strategy and content aligned with overall marketing objectives to enhance brand visibility, increase engagement, and drive store/website traffic.
- Manage day-to-day activities on social media platforms (WeChat/Red/Instagram/Facebook/YouTube), including content planning, scheduling, posting, monitoring, and reporting.
- Set up campaigns based on the campaign parameters in the media plan and ensure campaign budgets are pacing effectively and tactics are being optimized towards relevant objectives and KPIs.
- Conduct social media listening and monitoring to gather insights, track performance metrics, and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Manage social media communities to ensure we are meeting demand and addressing inquiries in a timely manner.
- Create high-quality contents in English, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, including but not limited to social media post, press releases, newsletters, speeches, statements, presentations, video scripts etc.
- Foster relations and liaise with media, influencers, associations and partners, handle requests for interviews, industry events and community engagements.
- Collaborate with multiple teams from internal to external Agency with support in set up of 360 social media strategy and executions.
- Oversee and maintain project timelines with detailed work back schedules while presenting regular status updates relating to specific campaign executions.
- Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in communication area, retail or social/digital background is an asset.
- Proven social media experience and content writing capabilities.
- Excellent hands-on experience in Windows software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Works well under pressure and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, problem solving and strong interpersonal skills.
- Optimistic and realistic, full of passion, creative mindset, attention to detail.
- Excellent command of English (written and verbal), Simplified & Traditional Chinese (written and verbal).
