**About this role**: You will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to a team of Mortgage Agents. This will include demonstrating ‘Subject Matter Expert’ level knowledge of mortgage products, policies, and procedures and a commitment to VentaCo’s core values and strategic objectives. The role will oversee implementing and achieving business strategies and objectives through coaching, sales, and market management. The Regional Manager will ensure the sales team demonstrates a high commitment to delivering a differentiated Member experience. As a leader of others, this role strives to develop an effective, adaptable sales force that demonstrates a growth mindset while nurturing internal and external partnerships consistent with the VentaCo brand and strategic objectives. This is a hybrid office role. There is also a requirement to attend team meetings in person. **Leadership & Coaching** - Lead and develop an engaged team of sales agents aligned with key business drivers and deliver on outcomes. - Establish and execute ongoing sales management disciplines - touch-bases, conference calls, team meetings - to support the SA team. This will include reviews and studies of key reporting and assigned goals. - Reinforce sound business practices by assessing risk associated with mortgage lending. - Encourage innovation to address current and future business needs. - Actively promote the development of Centres of Influence (COI) as a source of referral for business. - Assist in pursuing new business opportunities through contact with local businesses and active participation with local community organizations to maximize networking and relationship-building opportunities. - Assist with the development and execution of outbound marketing strategies. - Execute communication plans to update the sales team on relevant initiatives, opportunities, and internal programs. - Build and maintain strong partner relationships with key corporate support partners. - Support change management to continue to drive mortgage business results. **Operational Excellence** - Manage operational performance, policy and procedural adherence and optimize the efficiency of workflows within the sales team. - Maintain a strong commitment to the organizational position on risk assessment and policy adherence for mortgage lending. - Operate with an enterprise-wide perspective. - Develop and maintain effective organization of responsibility, including efficient recruiting, training, workflow patterns and performance standards. - Track the individual and team performance through internal reporting sources - pricing, sales performance, policy adherence, mortgage approval rating, etc. - Responsible for cascading communication of the strategic direction & priorities of the Sales team. - Ensure all pricing requests are documented correctly and appropriately for escalation and approval. **How you will succeed**: - Post-secondary education is preferable in finance or business administration. - 5+ years of Financial Services Leadership experience, preferably with experience in the Mobile Mortgage space. - In-depth experience with real estate lending, extensive knowledge of retail mortgage credit adjudication, and mortgage lending best practices. - Track record in supporting and executing Retail Experience strategies. - Knowledge of the real estate market in which the Sales team works. - Experience in creating business plans and implementation plans. - Recognized as a proactive problem identifier and problem solver. - An established Centre of Influence COI's) network is an asset. - Effective organizational time management and problem-solving skills; ability to grasp concepts and processes quickly; demonstrated ability to partner and influence. - Proven track record of bringing new ideas forward while staying on top of trends in the marketplace. - Sales-oriented and Member focused, with the enthusiasm and tenacity to motivate myself to meet and exceed goals and provide the right solutions. - Exceptional ability to deliver and manage results-oriented recruiting and training programs. - Ability to adapt, prioritize, plan workload and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. - A valid driver's license to effectively travel to meet with your team and attend meetings & events. Join us This role is a Remote-Home Office role.
