Position Summary Reporting to the Program Manager, the Relief TSW supports the tenants living in SHOW’s Supportive Housing building at 362 Erb Street West. The main objective of the role is to increase long term housing stability and improve quality of life for the tenants. Tenant Support Relief - Providing support to TSC’s as SHOW is staffed 24/7 - Decrease tenant isolation and help create a sense of belonging through the provision of housing first case management. - Provide informal harm reduction counselling to tenants. - Review/update daily logs throughout shift - Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation. - Support tenants with access to the food bank program onsite if permitted Other Responsibilities - Hallway checks throughout the building every couple of hours (unless instructed to do otherwise) this is to monitor noise and other unusual concerns as well to ensure all doors are secured. - Ensuring harm reduction kits are stocked and noting in log when supplies are low - Assisting in cleaning duties throughout the week (sweeping, mopping of hallways and stairwells, etc.) Overnight Responsibilities - Remember to print out the day log from a previous day and file it into a black binder (Tenant Logs 2021) by the windowsill. Make sure to highlight the log notes only from the previous day and then hit “print selection” so that the entire file is not getting print out. If you work on Saturday the 15, print out and file the log notes from Friday, the 14th. - The clipboard with the tenants seen list - move the sheet from the previous day at the back of the monthly pile and start a new sheet with a new date. If the previous day is the last day of the month, please put away the entire pile in the Tenants Seen Binder on top of the brown cabinet. Then print out a month worth of new copies by going into Shared Drive -> Alpha File -> Tenant List (seen during shift & wellness) Document. **Job Type**: Casual Pay: From $21.00 per hour Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Evening shift - Monday to Friday - Night shift - Weekends as needed **Education**: - Bachelor's Degree (preferred) **Experience**: - Supportive Care: 1 year (preferred) **Language**: - English (preferred) Licence/Certification: - First Aid Certification (preferred) Work Location: In person
