**What your day and week could look like**
A Skip Tracing Specialist plays an essential role in locating company assets and customers whose loan payments are delinquent. Responsibilities include:
- Utilizing various skip tracing techniques and tools to locate customers who have become delinquent on their loans.
- Conducting thorough investigations to gather information on customer whereabouts, including contacting references, employers, and other relevant parties.
- Searching public records, databases, and social media platforms to gather information and track down individuals.
- Collaborating with collection agents, legal professionals, and law enforcement/bailiffs as necessary to locate hard-to-find customers or assets.
- Documenting all skip tracing activities and maintaining accurate records of findings.
- Providing regular updates to management on the status of skip tracing efforts and any new leads obtained.
- Assisting in the repossession process by locating and tracking vehicles associated with delinquent loans.
- Adhering to all relevant laws and regulations governing skip tracing activities and privacy rights.
**What you bring**:
- Previous experience in skip-tracing, investigations or a related field
- Strong research and analytical skills with creative thinking
- A passion to accept challenges and appreciate achieving our Team goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using skip tracing software and online research tools
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Skip tracing and/or collections experience in consumer lending environment (banking/financial services/auto lending) an asset.
- Knowledge of Shaw Collections System is an asset.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing skip tracing and privacy rights
- Proficiency with lending software and Microsoft tools - Intermediate to advanced user experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook

Additional Information
- **Shifts for this role will may include the hours of 9:00am to 9:00pm, Monday to Saturday**
