Sports Information Representative

**Purpose**:
The Sports Information Representative assists in the delivery of sport information requirements and the communication of information about the Lions varsity teams, under the direction of the Manager, Engagement & Sports Information. This position requires commitment and adherence to the values and principles of Athletics & Recreation as expressed in the mandate of the department.

**Education**:
College Diploma in sports, journalism and/or media relations preferred.

**Experience**:
Minimum 1 year experience in writing or journalism. Working knowledge of Ontario University Athletics (OUA), U SPORTS, and varsity sports are an asset.

**Skills**:

- Working knowledge of a wide variety of sports. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Competency in Microsoft Word (formatting, typing, spelling, grammar) and online content management systems.
