**Status**:Temporary, Full Time (Up to 12 months)

**Position Description**:
The Digital and Web Services Coordinator plays an important role in building accessible, user-centred online services at the City of Waterloo. As a member of the Corporate Services team, this role will lead the daily operation of the City of Waterloo’s corporate website and associated digital services through content updates, data analysis and other quality assurance initiatives.

**Accountabilities**:

- Design structured HTML web content per the Waterloo.ca style guide
- Convert technical documents and processes into plain language
- Build online intake forms and convert paper-based services into digital formats
- Assist in the design, testing and implementation new digital services
- Monitor analytics, quality assurance and user feedback channels
- Ensure compliance with online accessibility legislation
- Run user consultation and internal training sessions
- Provide support for the overall digital services program
- Other duties as assigned

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary diploma in content design, digital arts or related field with a minimum two (2) years’ experience in website content design. Equivalent combinations of education, experience and training in related areas may be considered.
- Must have previous work experience with digital media content and/or web services
- Thorough understanding of WCAG 2.0 and AODA web guidelines
- Experience with the GHD/eSolutions iCreate content management system
- Basic HTML and CSS editing
- Basic image and video editing skills
- Awareness of best practices in content, service and user experience design
- Advanced time management and organization skills
- Ability to analyze and present website data to show trends
- Ability to build trust with a variety of internal clients and empathize with users
- Ability to run user testing sessions and respond to online customer service requests
- Municipal or public sector experience is an asset
- Experience with FormBuilder, Google Analytics, SiteImprove and Cludo is an asset- A satisfactory Police Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check will be required as a condition of hire
