The Finish Grader Operator’s main purpose is to efficiently operate self-propelled motor graders, with the skills to meet company productions and work within specified tolerances, as well as to promote and participate in the Goal Zero initiative.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Positively participate in Goal Zero Initiative, including adhering to the Defined Activities as defined for their position.
- Operate grader safely to assist productivity and workmanship.
- Responsible for equipment checks and informing mechanics and supervisors of mechanical problems with the equipment.
- Must be able to identify hazards on site.
- Must be willing and able to learn general construction practices involving road construction.
- Must have an understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
- Have the ability to work in an implement safe work practices and contribute to a safe work environment.

**Knowledge/Skills**:

- Willing to learn and take direction.
- Able to perform physical/manual labour for extended periods of time.
- Able to communicate well with co-workers.
- Must have a valid driver’s license (class 5).
- Able to work under pressure in some situations.
- Able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
- Able and willing to work overtime as required.
- Must be reliable.
- Must exhibit a strong work ethic.
- Must have strong regard for ethics.
- Ability to meet and adhere to all safety requirements and applicable safety policies, including pre-employment drug, alcohol, and medical testing.
- Must be willing to join and maintain active membership with the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), Local 955, if not already a member.

**Experience/ Education**:

- Minimum 3 years of grader operating experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
