Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Grader to join our construction and heavy equipment operation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating graders and other heavy machinery to ensure precise grading, paving, and site preparation. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, experience with various heavy equipment, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that contribute to infrastructure development and construction excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Operate grader equipment with precision to level and prepare surfaces for paving, construction, or landscaping projects.
  • Utilize dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and horizontal drilling machinery as needed for site development.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on heavy equipment such as Caterpillar graders, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Assist with paving operations by preparing surfaces and overseeing the grading process to meet project specifications.
  • Support other construction activities including site clearing, excavation, and material movement using heavy machinery.
  • Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of grading tasks aligned with project plans.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating graders, dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and other heavy equipment in a construction setting.
  • Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes including paving and site preparation.
  • Ability to operate Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery efficiently.
  • Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques is a plus.
  • Prior experience in heavy equipment operation within construction or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to safety standards and ability to work in physically demanding environments.
