**Role Summary**

Reporting to the Partnerships & Customer Engagement Manager your key objective will be to manage the Waterloo Brewing Taphouse. You will be highly focused on service levels, food/beer knowledge and driven by results. Front of house staff as well as the Kitchen Supervisor will report directly into this role. You will have experience in restaurant operations including front of house, point of sale software, people management, driving revenue, promotional activity, handling groups, booking entertainment and more. You will act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, as well as suppliers and customers. You should be a master of time management and multi-tasking, and capable of handling a high level of inbound correspondence. This will be a working manager role and therefore there is a requirement to help serve as well.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Manage daily operations, order all product and supplies, weekly meetings with staff and management
- Establishes and maintain effective communication and working relationships with FOH and BOH team members
- Participate in recruitment and hiring of new staff
- Promotion of sales, development of ways to increase average cheque size
- Develop and maintain team members' job routines and schedules
- Conducts weekly inventory of all products
- Books Taphouse Events, and private parties
- Collaborate on menu development with Kitchen Supervisor (ongoing and weekly/daily specials)
- Generating and developing reports to track results against revenue, average sales, peak operations, areas of opportunity, etc.
- Point of Sale System Lead - including uploading of menus, pricing, table placement, trouble shooting, loading new employees into system, etc.

**Qualifications**:

- 3 years of restaurant management experience
- Ability to think strategically and act tactically
- Smart Serve Certified.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends
- Exceptionally organized and the ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and able to work effectively with diverse groups
- Ability to adapt quickly to the challenges and demands of a rapidly growing company
- Strong understanding of business concepts and value drivers within restaurant and beer industry
- Experience with Touch Bistro is an asset
- Beer sommelier is an asset
