**Ballina Contracting** is a civil construction company based in **Chilliwack B.C.**

We are seeking a **Project Manager** with a background in **civil construction and engineering**. If you are a positive, people-oriented individual who is looking for a permanent, full-time position with opportunities for advancement then this job is the right one for you Position available in the Fraser Valley.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate in accordance with and uphold Emil Anderson Group (EAG) Core Values.
- Uphold an unwavering commitment to developing a zero-injury culture and meeting the Paving the Way to Zero goals.
- Anticipates project needs to avoid delay.
- Ensures project deliverables and plans are prepared.
- Develops and monitors resource requirements
- Corresponds with subcontractors and major suppliers to prepare contracts.
- Work closely with Management to monitor financial aspects of the contract
- Monitors construction progress and updates Management
- Supports opportunity pursuits and the estimating of bids.
- Provide technical advice and resolve problems proactively.
- Mentor and lead operations staff on site.
- Evaluate workmanship and maintain quality standards.
- Identify and solve constructability issues.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
- **Ability to travel to job sites as and when required.**

- Proficient in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing out projects.
- Knowledgeable of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to anticipate and address project risks and challenges proactively.
- Proven ability in establishing and enforcing quality control measures.
- Strong knowledge of construction disciplines, cost control, scheduling and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of WorkSafeBC Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Highly organized, with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.:
**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in Engineering, or Construction Management;
- 3+ years of Project Management experience;
- Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract;
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and Bluebeam
- Based in the Fraser Valley
