**Matcon Excavation & Shoring Ltd** - Matcon's is one of the Lower Mainland's leading and most highly respected construction companies. Due to continued growth we are currently seeking a Bulldozer Operator. This position is for a highly experienced bulldozer operator with **10,000 hours bulldozer experience.**

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Knowledge of Landfill Site Environment
- Understanding of handling different soil types in wet & dry weather
- Knowledge of Dozer D-6 GPS
- Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment, perform minor repairs to equipment.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections on equipment and clean, lubricate, and refill equipment
- Ensure proper and safe storage of equipment.
- Is expected to operate all equipment in a safe and highly efficient manner.
- Ensure equipment is well maintained and conduct a pre-operational check on equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols and policies.
- Attention to detail and desire to provide high-quality workmanship, get it right the first time
- Coordinating with the Foreman
- Shoveling tracks as required.
- Operators should also be well adapted to all types of adverse conditions such as extreme weather, project schedules, congested work spaces, etc.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Experience of **10 000 Hours as a Dozer Operator**:

- Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team
- Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule including different shifts and overtime when needed.
- Possible longer days, so overtime may be required on weekends too.

**Hours of work & Overtime**
- Work preformed in excess of 8 hours per day shall be paid at the rate of one and a half times the regular rate of pay.
- Work preformed in excess of 11 hours per day shall be paid at the rate of 2 times the regular rate of pay.
- Employees who are required to work Saturday shall be paid one and a half times the regular rate of pay. Work preformed on Saturdays in excess of 11 hours shall be paid double the regular rate of pay.

Matcon works with the CLAC union and all new employees become members upon joining the company. Included in the remuneration perks are a safety gear allowance, RRSP (matched and unmatched), insurance benefits and holiday pay.

**Salary**: $36.61-$40.93 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 72 per week
