**Job Overview**
Kinderbrook has multiple locations and you should be able to travel from Toronto to KWC. Ideally you should be able to visit one centre each day covering 5 schools a week. The school follows the Montessori curriculum for children above 1.5 years to 6 years. The individual should have Montessori knowledge to better assist the Centre Supervisors and Staff.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist the Director in developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve organizational goals.
- Reviews the classroom boards ensuring that information posted is accurate, updated, current with standards of brand and inclusive of all requirements by Ministry of Education, Fire Department, and Public Health
- Lead and mentor Supervisors from all centers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Identify opportunities for business development and process improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
- Responsible for ensuring that all legislative requirements are met
- Follow the Child Care & Early Years Act Guidelines
- Ensuring all Health department guidelines are being met
- Keeping fire drill logs and ensuring all Fire Department guidelines are being met
- Municipal by-laws
- Occupational health & safety Act
- Labor relations/Employment standards
- Privacy laws
- Prepare newsletters & bulletins
- Offer tours of the site
- Implement parent-teacher meetings
- Address parent concerns
- Ensure policies are being followed by the parents

- Administrative duties
- Delegate tasks & responsibilities as and when required
- Ensure classroom administration
- Organize field trips & workshops
- Seek advice from other management staff
- Responsible for providing up to date lists & requirements for supplies/equipment etc. on a monthly basis
- Responsible for ongoing maintenance of staff
- Responsible for maintaining and promoting professionalism
- Ensure all staff performance reviews are completed on time
- Provide ongoing constructive feedback
- Provide support and guidance to staff
- Co-ordinate supply staff & develop daily staff schedule & lunch schedule
- Plan & implement regular staff meetings & assist staff in duties when necessary
- Ensure staffing requirements are always met (holidays, sickness etc.)
- Maintaining enrollment, updating centre projections bi-weekly
- On-going communication with all the families
- Maintain records of admission, withdrawal, vacation credit, waiting lists and any other pertinent items in the children’s files.
- Assist Supervisors in hosting any events necessary for the families & children (like open houses, Birthday Barbeque, Winter concert etc.)
- Ensure the Centre supervisors are meeting family needs
- Have on-going interaction and communication with the families
- Monitor performance metrics and prepare reports for the Director to inform decision-making.
**Requirements**:
- Ability and willingness to attend events, seminars, meetings as required.
- Support and participation in fundraising events and all other events
- Ability to manage relationships with staff and supervisors.
- Excellent leadership qualities
- Ability to serve on various committees and boards as required
- Ability to manage a large staff of teachers, support staff, and others employed at the center.
**Qualifications**
- Early Childhood Educator Diploma
- Must be registered and a member in good standing in the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
- Experience working with children in a childcare or before and after school setting is an asset
- Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff and volunteers
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification - Level C
- Ability to obtain clear valid Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen
**Experience**:
- Childcare: 3 years (required)
- Experience with children: 3 years (required)
- English: 10 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (required)
- CPR Certification (required)
Work Location: In person
Previous experience is required, but we are open to individuals with previous transferable skills such as: a Registered Early Childhood Educator or Assistant Supervisor.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute:
- Between all existing and new Kinderbrook Locations.
