Quality Manager

Fowler Metal Industries Ltd. specializes in precision sheet metal fabrication, machining, welding and finishing. Prototype to medium and high production volumes. Established in 1972 we have been serving the sheet metal fabrication industry for over 50 years. We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager.
Reporting to the Technical Director, this individual is responsible for auditing internal and external processes and to ensure the Company provides set standards to meet customer expectations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Creating and maintaining procedures and flow charts to guide processes and aiding in determining which appropriate action to take with non-conformance of material, operations, RMA dispositions and DMR procedures
- All procedures need to be validated financially and vetted for impact to inventory and transaction history
- Organization of all quality documents (physical and electronic) including consolidation of master documents and templates, removal of uncontrolled drawings and separate plant documents
- Update and maintain ISO polices and procedures to current process and system usage with ERP system
- Update and maintain calibration records, test methods and standardized procedures and store details within Company directory
- PFEMA documents completed and made available for other operations and customers
- Work with team members to ensure thorough and successful PPAP projects
- Work with internal and external stakeholders regarding Company quality policies and procedures
- Confirm that all staff follow the Quality Management Systems to ensure product adheres to drawings and customer specifications
- Identify process, equipment and personnel improvements with documentation / justification supporting the recommendations
- Manage QA Department costs and maintain budgetary requirements
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication, presentation and organization skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills including ERP systems, outlook, word and excel spreadsheets or databases
- Must be reliable and flexible to manage changing demands
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills
- Must effectively self-manage within fast-paced environments
- Experience using variety of measuring devices
- Experience in metal fabrication environment would be viewed as an asset
Salary will be negotiated based on skills and experience.
