- TRIUMF - Manager, Organizational Development - Leaders International- Primary Function:
- The Manager, Organizational Development provides advice and guidance regarding organizational development, change management and employee engagement programs. This role oversees the day-to-day responsibilities for organizational development and change management, ensuring people programs support TRIUMF’s workforce.
- This role leads the Organizational Development function. It ensures that the people programming we deliver builds organizational capacity in support of TRIUMF’s strategic focus on talent programs. It also serves to balance our commitment to supporting employee’s career path goals and objectives.
- The Manager, Organizational Development has broad range of experience and knowledge in the field of organizational behaviour and organizational development. They stay on top of current trends in this rapidly evolving digital world and are eager to not only do things differently, but to make a difference.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing guidance as SME on organizational design in support of ensuring good governance and that the management philosophy and structure is aligned with the 5-year strategic plan and corresponding workforce planResponsible for the day-to-day management of talent programs-
- Responsible for making moderate improvements of processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of the department-
- Planning and establishing goals and objectives for a and operational results of the department-
- Developing comprehensive succession and talent plans, budgets, deliverables, and timelines-
- Managing projects and communication plans at all levels throughout projects-
- Communication is typically related to explaining policies, practices, and procedures of the area of responsibility to others within the organization-
- Working to justify and gain cooperation of other parties on such policies, practices, and procedures-
- Creating innovative and engaging workforce solutions and end user experiences-
- Delivering training content through in-person workshops, online facilitation, or distance learning-
- Evaluating the effectiveness of current and new programs by measuring and evaluating feedback from participants on the effectiveness and delivery of learning objectives-
- Acting on key gaps and areas of opportunity identified through TRIUMF’s lessons learned approachEducation & Certifications- A post-secondary degree in Business, Education or related field of Organizational Behavior or Human Resources Management-
- Master’s degree preferred-
- CPHR or CHRP considered an asset-
- Prosci and/or CCPM certification**Qualifications**:
- Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 12+ years of progressive experience working adult learning in areas including:- Designing, developing, and implementing talent programs (performance, succession, rewards, etc.)-
- Designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-wide employee engagement surveys and aligning programs to outcomes-
- Designing and developing culturally sensitive HR programming, which is focused on Equity, Diversity and inclusion-
- Leading Change Management for large scales projects and teams-
- Proven track record of working with senior and executive management teams in the area of organizational development and designExperience with psychometric system for behavioural testing-
- Excellent oral and written skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail-
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player-
- Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate and present ideas and information-
- Results-oriented, demonstrating ownership and accountability-
- Working knowledge of project management practices an asset-
