**Position Description**:
This position is responsible for the underwriting commercial accounts, including but not limited to new business, quotes, endorsements, renewals, and claims underwriting review. The underwriter collaborates internally with all operating areas and externally with our broker partners. As an Underwriter**,** their work will have a big impact on the profitability and growth of the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Underwrite a wide range of small and large commercial accounts, with a strong emphasis on generating new business and achieving growth targets.
- Assess risk exposures, determine appropriate coverage options, and develop competitive solutions that address coverage gaps.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with broker partners through regular visits, participation in industry events, and other business development activities.
- Make well-informed, independent underwriting decisions on complex risks, providing recommendations and support as needed.
- Stay up to date on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to support strategic underwriting decisions.
- Review claims histories and inspection reports, offering input and recommendations when appropriate.
- Manage policy renewals, endorsements, and modifications to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior underwriters on complex accounts and underwriting practices.
- Ensure adherence to internal workflows, underwriting procedures, and service standards at all times.

Pay: $58,754.32-$80,936.60 per year
