Northern Research Group Inc. is a Metis-owned consulting firm that specializes in business development and economic development. We are currently expanding and are looking for a full-time Business Consultant to work remotely within Saskatchewan. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position requires a high level of organization, communication, independence and skill in providing a variety of business development services.

Key job activities for this position include:

- Providing clients with business consulting services such as business planning, feasibility analyses, budgeting, market analyses, strategic planning, business advisory services, etc.
- Conducting economic research and analyses.
- Complete sustainability plans for capital projects.
- Developing written reports.
- Developing and maintaining client relationships.
- Engaging in the preparation of technical proposals and presentations.
- A minimum of a university undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics and/or Business Economics.
- A minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Experience developing business plans and financial projections.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial statements and costing systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of all areas of business development.
- A high degree of self-confidence and professionalism.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A knack for problem solving.
- Attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
- A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks) is an asset.
- A valid class 5 Drivers licence and their own vehicle.
- Metis/Indigenous heritage is considered an asset.
