Our client provides integrated reporting, analysis, and monitoring software that helps leading organizations make better business decisions every day. They have engaged ROSS to search for a Business Intelligence Consultant. ROSS is a team of People Specialists helping companies align their People Strategy with their business growth. We provide remote or onsite HR and Recruitment solutions such as Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), complimented by leading edge open-source HRIS software. Consultants tackle the most demanding assignments from departmental data mining engagements to enterprise-wide e-business solutions implemented by cross-functional teams. This role can involve as much as 50% travel. You Will… Provide billable consulting support to achieve account objectives and production success. Consulting services may include product installation and implementation, product enhancement and integration, or site audits to meet customer business requirements. Perform information systems needs assessment, information gathering, and recommend appropriate business systems and IT infrastructure for our client’s customers. Perform data modeling, application development, technical product assistance, and tuning to meet customer performance and functional requirements. Specify business systems (inputs, outputs, data, human and automated interfaces) to meet information processing objectives for our client’s software platform. Examine end client’s proprietary software products for their compliance with functional specifications. Provide exemplary service to clients and work under minimal supervision. You Have… Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in a business, technical or related field is required. At least 1–3 years consulting experience for Intermediate and 5+ years for Senior. Understanding of core Business Intelligence (BI)/data warehousing technology: RDBMS, Web, Client/Server, and OLAP. Ability to learn new technologies and business requirements; programming experience (Visual Basic, C, C++); Web/Internet experience (JAVA, HTML, ASP, XML, XSL). Business Development Experience demonstrated. Nice to Have… Experience with RDBMS, data warehousing, analytics or Business Intelligence (BI) including any experience with any data warehousing or BI tools (e.g., Cognos, Informatica, Hyperion, SAS, Business Objects, Information Builders (IBI), Generation5, Angoss, Peregrine, g5, SPSS, Teradata, MicroStrategy, Netezza, ODESIA etc).
