We are currently seeking a dynamic and strategic Area Manager to oversee janitorial operations across a designated region. This position is critical to ensuring the delivery of high-quality cleaning services and building strong client relationships.
**Position Summary**:
The Area Manager plays a key leadership role in managing both direct employees and subcontractors to ensure seamless operations, adherence to safety and quality standards, and client satisfaction. This position requires an individual who can strategically handle operational challenges, mentor teams, and enhance service delivery.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Operational Oversight**:
- Oversee janitorial operations within an assigned geographical area, ensuring alignment with company policies and client expectations.
- Implement strategies to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality, safety compliance, and operational effectiveness.
- Proactively address operational challenges, deploying innovative solutions within the janitorial field.
**Client and Stakeholder Management**:
- Foster strong client relationships, promptly addressing complaints and implementing service improvements.
- Manage administrative tasks such as client communication, document control, and report submission.
**Team Management**:
- Mentor and manage a team of Managers, Supervisors, Lead Hands, frontline personnel, and subcontractors, fostering a culture of customer focus and excellence.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to recruit, train, and develop team members.
- Address workforce challenges in unionized locations as necessary, in collaboration with Human Resources.
**Safety and Compliance**:
- Partner with the Health, Safety, and Environment team to ensure compliance with company and regulatory health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Administer safety programs and ensure all sites uphold stringent safety measures.
**Subcontractor Management**:
- Oversee subcontractor agreements, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
- Address subcontractor concerns promptly to maintain smooth operations.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in facilities or janitorial operations.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Willingness to travel across the assigned region for site inspections, client meetings, and subcontractor engagements.
**Working Conditions**:
- Office and field environments, requiring flexibility and mobility.
- Occasional travel to client sites, branch offices, and subcontractor locations.

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
