**_Job Summary:_**
The Demand Planner plays a critical role in improving the forecast accuracy performance. This position will facilitate the demand review process by working cross functionally to develop and communicate the most accurate sales forecast for the supply chain plan. Facilitate dialogue regarding risks and opportunities to cross-functional teams including senior leadership. Continuously leverage forecasting tools to streamline forecasting processes, improve forecast accuracy and create supply chain efficiencies.
**_Responsibilities:_**
Forecast/Consensus
- Own the execution, performance and continuous improvement of the shipment forecast for all brands
- Own and execute New Item forecasting process, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Innovation and Operations teams
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to incorporate current and long-term market intelligence into the demand plan at product, customer and market levels and to develop, document and update the assumptions supporting the demand plan
- Proficiently use multiple information sources to develop a demand forecast: shipments, consumption, weeks of supply, promotional lift, ACV, velocity, market penetration
- Support team to ensure required customer service levels are met while maintaining appropriate inventory levels and monitoring E/O inventory
- Present forecast performance in the monthly Sales and Operations Planning meetings.
Process Improvement
- Own and facilitate key processes, as well as identify and develop new processes as required
- Act as primary resource on behalf of sales team in development of an S&OP process
- Development of inventory reduction strategies in conjunction Supply Chain team
Systems
- Provide expertise as we continue to utilize the systems (Sage, Excel) to enhance the future state of the Demand Planning process.
Analytics/Reporting
- Responsible for the design, implementation, performance and maintenance of reporting (current and new), ensuring standardization in metrics, calculations, data sources and terminology
- Own and update the monthly branded sales report and financial lock process.
- Partner with Supply Chain team to leverage use of Business Intelligence tools (SAGE) to retrieve, analyze, transform and report data that drives actionable insights
- Monitor the demand plan performance (forecast error, accuracy, bias) by measuring actual versus planned performance at multiple planning levels. Prepare performance metrics and distribute to collaborators as feedback for continuous improvement
- Develop comprehensive opportunity analysis, including volume, funding and resource allocation considerations
- Support both tactical and strategic decision-making with regards to brand, shopper and retailer investments
- Work closely with Finance and the Sales organization in the forecasting and management of trade strategies
**_Qualifications:_**
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or Supply Chain Management
- minimum of 3 years of previous experience in Planning or Supply Chain data analysis or similar role.
- Knowledge of MPS/MRP, Demand Flow, JIT, Forecasting, Inventory Planning, and Supply Chain design.
- Excellent data management and strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks / priorities and lead cross-functional projects.
- Ability to self-start and work proactively.
- Ability to problem-solve, adapt to changing customer demands and sense of urgency.
- High level proficiency with Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office.
- Able to prepare and conduct presentations and meetings
- Detail oriented with solid investigative skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines and work flexible schedule when required
