Material Planner

Tamarack Industries, leader in mobile glycol heating systems is growing and we are looking for a material planner to manage inventories and ensure that material resources are consistent with production schedules. The Material Planner will develop an effective forecast model by paying attention to sales trends and demand patterns. The right person will estimate future demand for Tamarack products and will analyze inventory flow to build forecasting models.
**Responsibilities**
- Maintaining a constant relationship with the sales, marketing, finance, and production teams to understand the demand-forecasting drivers.
- Reviewing historical sales trends
- Modeling the data to forecast future demand
- Obtaining information on occurrences that could impact demand like production delays
- Gathering updates on vendors, distributors, sales, and other stakeholders that can affect demand
- Overseeing demand planning and management processes for new and existing products.
- Addressing demand related queries and issues in a timely manner.
- Adjusting order sizes as needs fluctuate
- Maintaining a demand plan to ensure cost effectiveness and to meet customer demands
- Developing and executing product demand plans to meet organization goals.
- Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
- Assessing volume requirements against planning assumptions
- Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
- Providing input to the supply planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
**Skills and Requirements**
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
- Understanding of supplier relationships and some experience working with suppliers.
- Ability to manage tasks as per the deadline and exceptional decision-making abilities
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $49,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
