Reporting to the Senior Leader of Demand Planning, Demand Planners are responsible for establishing, reviewing, and revising product forecasts for their own subset of Princess Auto’s unique assortment. These forecasts are maintained at a store and item level for a continuous one (1) year horizon. The forecasts are integral for purchasing inventory, replenishing inventory to stores, as well as supporting other teams at Princess Auto with items such as labour or equipment management.

Forecasting is done through two distinct lenses to quantify, separately, customer demand for promotional product and for regular sales product:

- Forecasting promotional demand is a cross-functional process where the Demand Planner works with the Merchandising, Marketing, and Replenishment Teams to predict demand, mitigate constraints or risk, and implement the promotional plan within Princess Auto’s ERP system. Regular discussions are required to review past event performance and revise forecasts or plans to improve on future forecasts.
- Forecasting regular demand is a more independent process of reviewing sales history, trends, and alerts within Princess Auto’s ERP system as well as through the analytics of additional reporting to predict sales volumes outside of Princess Auto’s promotional events. Coordination with the Replenishment and Merchandising teams is still required, particularly for the planning of new-item introductions and product discontinuations.

**To be successful in this role, you will need to**:

- Have post-secondary education in a related field, and/or a minimum of two (2) years experience in an inventory or demand planning role.
