**We're hiring for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our Edmonton team.**
**Job Title**:Assistant Manager
**What You’ll Do**:
Reporting to the General Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for managing daily company operations to ensure positive, safe and profitable working environment.
- Have a firm understanding of tequila and agave spirits.
- Lead on the floor always.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all AGLC regulations.
- Adhere to all government regulations regarding Labour Standards and Human Rights, ensuring a professional and safe working environment.
- Complete all tasks assigned to them by Management.
- Be responsible for achieving budgeted liquor COGs.
- Be responsible for preventing theft.
- Be responsible for promo and spillage.
- Be responsible for period end inventory/and weekly inventory if required.
- Be responsible for achieving FOH labour targets.
- Be responsible for ensuring restaurant cleanliness and passing both Health Inspection and Steritech audits with 80% score.
- Ensure all staff are trained up to company standard and all new employees receive the set 5-day training program.
- Ensure all mystery shop audits are scoring 80% or higher.
- Be responsible for consistent and correct staff documentation and coaching.
- Be responsible for 60-day reviews of new bartenders and also annual reviews with the General Manager.
- Ensure that all drinks are being prepared to the company’s spec and standard.
- Ensure that all food items are being prepared to company spec and standard.
- Interact with guests to take orders and serve food and beverages.
- Actively promote upcoming events and building the brand.
- Ensure that employees follow the company standards, policies, and strategies.
- Cooperate with General Manager in recruiting, training, payroll processing, performance evaluation, promotions, and terminations.
- Be responsible for all equipment, and its repair and maintenance.
- Manage direct reporting to General Manager related to financial, business, and administration matters.
- Delegate daily work assignments and schedules for employees.
- Coordinate with General Manager in planning projects, expense controls, schedules, and manpower.
- Develop systems for basic and specialized training of staff in all roles.
- Co-ordinate with kitchen leadership to ensure free flow of real time communication amongst all staff.

**Who You Are**:
- You have your First Aid, Food Safe, ProServe, and ProTect Security Certifications, as well as a recent police check.
- You have a firm understanding of labour standards and human rights regulations.
- You have 2-3 years of restaurant management or supervisor experience.
- You are a genuine, personable, vibrant, and team-oriented individual.
- You pride yourself on your customer service skills, your ability to make people feel at home, your reliability, and your ability to “keep upbeat” even during the busiest shifts.
- You are solution focused and resourceful - you think on your feet effectively to find resolutions to situations.
- You manage time effectively through planning and multitasking without skipping a beat.
- You are a great communicator, both in person and on the phone/online.
- You are easily coachable and see feedback as an opportunity to keep improving your skills and abilities.
- You might have future aspirations to be employed as Store Management or in our Corporate team.

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
